About The Ford Firm PLC in Iowa City

About Jamie L. Ford, JD, LLM.

About My Law Experience.

I have been practicing law since 2013 and am currently licensed in Iowa, Arkansas, Wisconsin, and Illinois. While I got started in criminal law, my focus has been on personal injury for the past several years. I got a lot of great experience from my time practicing with a larger law firm, but I made the decision to start my own practice so that I could give more individualized attention to my clients. I am also very passionate about utilizing all of today’s advancements in convenience and accessibility in order to best serve my clients.

More About Me.

Who is Jamie L. Ford, JD, LLM?

Currently located in Iowa City, IA.

My goal is to own and operate a personal injury law firm in Iowa City where people can come for excellent personal injury law services, knowing that they’ll be taken care of, and not taken advantage of.

On a more personal note, my goal is to be a kind human and live a happy, helpful life.   When you call The Ford Firm for your free consultation, it probably won’t take you long to notice an accent.  I’m originally from Arkansas, where a lot of my family still resides.  I currently live in Iowa City with my husband, Corey, and our two dogs, Wally and Eldrick.  We quickly fell in love with the young, diverse energy of this one-of-a-kind college town, and are very proud to both be serving our new community as small business owners.

When I’m not working, you can most likely find me running on the Iowa River Corridor Trail, meeting friends for coffee, or at opening night of the newest Marvel movie!  And if you are looking for a true crime podcast or audiobook recommendation, you’ve definitely come to the right place.

I’m also very passionate about social justice, and I try my best to be environmentally conscious in both my personal and professional life.  I am so proud to bring a new woman-owned business to Iowa City and hope to be able to do my part to bring progress to our community.

My Values.

I like to get to know my clients beyond their cases.  Your story—why you’re making the claim, what led to it, where you would like to see it go, and most importantly, who you are—matters to me as much as the details of the case.

Part of a personal connection means being honest.  I maintain an open relationship with my clients where I feel comfortable advising them in the way I know best, and I hope they feel they can be open with me as well.

No one comes to a personal injury lawyer because they’re having a great day.  I’m going to be here for you from Day One, no matter what, and I won’t rest until I see you get the representation and compensation you deserve.

You need solid personal injury services, no matter what it takes.  My firm operates on a contingency fee basis, which means I don’t get paid a thing until after I win for you.
